2001: A Space Odyssey
A Kubrik masterpiece. Totally Chilled out sci-fi totally ahead of its time. Don't forget, this was made in the 60's

About a Boy
Quant touching lil story um about a boy. Hugh Grant finally puts in a good performance and the kid is so sweeet. Awww. hehe. Great soundtrack by badly drawn boy.

American Beauty
Immensly fun suburban nightmare movie. Kevin Spacey shows us all again how to act.

Apocolypse Now!
THE surreal viatnam movie. Long, odd, chilled out atmospheric and just darn amazing.

Back to the Future
You must have seen this film, wonderful isn't it? I just love the ambience when he first jumps to 1955. Mr sandman, give me a dream. hehe

Blade Runner
Ridley Scots Iconic futuristic sci-fi. Stylish and um interesting.

The Breakfast Club
5 school kids who wouldn't normally be seen together endure detention and end up becoming friends... of sorts.

La Cit des enfants perdus
Very very french and very entertaining. Kinda like a fairy tale

The Cook The Thief His Wife & Her Lover
This is pure theatre, surreal and overplayed. Exquisitely filmed and so god damn enjoyable. It was an english/french coproduction, the french influences certainly come through, there is a certain style that only they can do, twisted and messy visuals and yet so colourful. It also has a wonderful score

Delicatessen
Very very french and very entertaining. OH, plus twisted and kinda sick. ha

Eraserhead
David Lynch lets all of his creative juices let rip on this post-apocolyptic nightmarish vision. Deformed babies and sudden manic hysteria, is this the result of nuclear fallout? I think there's a clue somewhere.

Flight Club
Stylish mad fun...with a daft twist that doesn't make any sense, but who cares yeah?

Full Metal Jacket
Kubriks Vietnam movie. The first part is set in a training camp and the treatment of the solders is hurrific and slightly mad.

Ginger Snaps
Emily Perkins

Heavenly Creatues
Two girls sharing a vivid imagination can't bare to be dragged apart.

Heathers
Slater is a psycho and ryder can't stand her clique, but hey nothing new there.

The man who wasn't there
dark gripping coen brothers film

Moulin Rouge
Simply fanastic fun. A music that uses recent pop songs.

Les Quatre Cent Coups
French new wave (i think) its about a troubled boy, a little scamp getting into trouble. His acting is fantasticly believable despite his young age. Its another touching one.

Requiem for a Dream
Gripping can't take your eye off the screen hideousness. Basically wow.

Rocky Horrow Picture Show
Is it possible for a film to be more fun than this?... Or for someone to be more gorgeous for that matter.

Schindlers List
Spielburgs undervalued take on the book about WWII ethnic clensing. It isn't overplayed and yet is deeply touching.

The Shinning
Kubrick takes Stephen Kings book and tears it apart, making it ten times better than the book

Dr. Strangelove or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb
Kubrick again. Fantastic dark comedy about 'a' cold war missle crisis. Its just darn great. And deeply silly.

Withnail & I
Funniest film ever made. Watch it or die alone (??)
Some favorite scenes (off the top of my memory)...
and i: Lighter fuel? Even the wankers on the street wouldn't drink that, that's worse than Meths
Withnail: Rubbish, this is a much superior drink that meths, the wankers don't drink this because they can't afford it
-- Withnail downs the lighter fluid
Withnail: Got anymore?
and i: no there isn't anymore
Withnail: Lier, you've got antifreeze
and i: don't be a fool withnail, you should never mix your drinks
-- Withnail collapses into hysterical laughter...and vomits
and i: We've got to get out of here, this mans insane, and not only that but he's a waving homosexual
and i: What about whats-his-name
Withnail: You want me to call whats-his-name and ask him for some money?
and i: Yeah
Withnail: Great idea, what's his number?
and i: I dunno, i don't know him
Withnail: Well neither do i, who the fuck are you talking about?
